Well they buried you on Monday, like a religious man would do. There were flowers in the dirt and speeches from the kids and nephews. Everyone said prayers in silence, everyone was so well dressed, but in two more weeks they'll all be down in Florida cashing checks. And they talk about when they saw you in the bed for the last time, and they laugh about how you always had that twinkle in your eye. And in the hospital, you raised your hands you like you were reaching out to god.

I guess it's kind of funny how everyone called up so quick. No one cares much for the living, but god they love you when you're sick. And when they see your sister, can't even look her in the face, they just look down at their shoes and say you are in a better place, and everyone is crying loud now for the death of a bitter man.

You suffer, you suffer, you suffer your whole life. And that line item's in the will, but it will never make it right. And the crooks and the lawyers and the army volunteers are all busy lighting candles for your sixty seven years.
